Yes, that is a different set of tabs and dialogs. (I for ane prefer to set up every aspect of the microphone to the lowest settings and muted… and cover the photographic camera.)

In windows 8 there is another option at the microphone Properties (Recording Devices => Properties) "Listent to this device"
